Two guests join me this week: writer Steve Orlando (DC’s Super-Girl, JLA, Midnighter) and artist Garry Brown (The Massive and Black Road /Dark Horse).
They are collaborating on their creator-owned series Crude published by Skybound / Image Comics.
First I discuss their educational background: Steve studied Russian and Creative Writing in while in college. Garry studied at the Joe Kubert School of Cartoon and Graphic Art.

Stephanie Cannon was a finalist in 2017 Ghost City Comic Competition for her one page story Boot Hill and joins me for this week's show.
She also recently announced she contributed Hexed for the upcoming horror Anthology published through Alterna Comics It Came Out On A Wednesday.
We begin by telling war stories about running and Stephanie talks about the recent Half Marathon she completed.
On comics, we talk about Stephanie's short story for the successfully funded Kickstarter Corpus: A Comic Anthology of Body Aliments.
We also talk about he other work in progress, the post apocalyptic western graphic novel Bandera with artist David Mims (Scrimshaw/ Alterna Comics) plus another project to be named with artist Francesco Laqunita (Croaked / Alterna Comics).
We talk about rest and relaxation, and a movie that made us both cry. Can you guess which one? Guess again!

Welcome back Ron Randall to this special bonus episode of Creator Talks!
Ron is publishing the next chapter of Mercy St. Clair’s Trekker through Kickstarter. It’s a complete graphic novel called CHAPLETOWN and also includes the noir-style Trekker story The Volstock Payoff that began in the pages of Dark Horse Presents final issue.
Ron had just return from the 2018 Emerald City Comic so we discuss his experience and fan reception to his Kickstarter.
We also discuss the work Ron undertook to launch his first Kickstarter and future plans for publishing more Trekker in print.
This episode I also get to chance to learn a bit more about Ron as I ask him my questions about rest and relaxation!
